I've asked this question several other places (including the nautilus
mailling list), but have received no answers except for a single "I don't
know". I'm hoping the collective expertise on this list might have an
answer.

I don't like the icons nautilus puts on my desktop for each mount point.
How do I keep it from putting them there? I currently have an alias that
removes the files from my .gnome-desktop directory, but that only lasts
until I log out. The next time I log in, they're all back again.

Help?
