Hrm.  All I had to do to build XFree86 4.2 from ports was --

        cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86-4 && make install clean

Nothing fancy there..  It will become a little more complicated when
building it on a system with a GeForce2 Go video card, but all you
should have to do is uninstall the X11 servers port, and rebuild it
after patching..
