Quick note:
=09Default shell for root is csh which reads .login not .profile.  Defaul=
t shell=20
for most users is bash which reads .profile. (could be wrong on this, but=
 in=20
any case, the default shell reads .profile) Just set up the alias in .log=
in=20
for root and it should work.
