Whether it works perfectly, that's a different question. :) I don't have an ATI card to test it. I believe the Linux driver actually does do 3D (some benchmark says it's faster than Windows). The 'ported' FreeBSD driver doesn't do 3D yet. I agree that it would be better for Nvidia to support it. Once they found a business reason I guess. I think that everyone who has a Nvidia card should write to Nvidia asking for a FreeBSD driver, or say that you would go buy a card if they release a driver. XFree86 drivers is different from kernel drivers. I think the linux nvidia driver is for XFree86.
