nearly exactly. the one thing that must be changed is the line that says
*default host=CHANGE_THIS.FreeBSD.org

change it to:
*default host=cvsup.FreeBSD.org

but other than that, yes. you have the process down correct ::)

however, for the record, i don't think this is where the problem lies.
but it's worth a try.
