I have /usr/obj, but it is not used during the ports build process if =20
you don't tell that it shall be used. Above I tell my ports to use =20
/var/ports/usr/ports/<category>/<portname>/... for the work dir of the =20
port (WRKDIRPREFIX). I do this because my /usr/ports is read-only. And =20
with this I don't see any breakage like you describe. So you seem to =20
have some setting somewhere which causes this problem. I would like to =20
know which setting this is to be able to reproduce your problem.
