Or:
.if !empty(.CURDIR:M/usr/ports/www/pound)
WITH_OPENSSL_PORT=yes
.endif

Ideally, the MAINTAINER should be pinged and set WITH_OPENSSL_PORT=yes in the 
Makefile, if port is BROKEN with base ssl.
