Have you considered just doing a 'p4 integ' on the GSOC branch in p4?  Or 
rather, making a copy of that branch in p4 and then doing an integ from HEAD 
into that?   That might be simpler than trying to recreate everything in svn.  
Once you have an up-to-date diff you can then move that to an svn branch.
