Yes, it will write to the httpd.conf for the module.... on the "tweaks", I
remember there are a couple of directives that have to be opened up to
"allow all", but I would have to look those up. However, as I vaguely
recall, at the end of install from the ports I believe it mentions those.
Don't worry, it won't hurt the install if you miss them. You can do it
afterwards. If you don't see those instructions, I look for my copy somewhere.

...that's hard to answer. You just have to dive in. Seems the experiences
vary. Expect some problems though, but usually nothing fatal....
