It seems the mundane gives me more trouble than the extraordinary.

How does one set display fonts for the commandline?

How does one set display fonts for an xterm? I have tried to use "xterm
-fn fontname" but it seems that none of the standard fonts can be found.
X therefore always reverts to "fixed." This is way to small for use
within a 1024 display.

The fonts that are listed in my fontpath are all zipped. Do I need to
unzip them? It seems that this should not be necessary.

"xfd" will not display a single font for me. It says something about
"unable to convert to type FontStruct."

Any other font related general info or redirection to the correct
resources would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason Wells
