Hi, I asked my WWW provider to install JDK on my FreeBSD virtual host which they have. Unfortunately it dies with > java TestClass **Out of memory, exiting** The following works OK: > java -fullversion java_X full version "jdk1.1.7-FreeBSD:1999/4/16" The system uname -a reports: > uname -a FreeBSD vs3.inetu.net 2.2.8-RELEASE FreeBSD 2.2.8-RELEASE #0: Thu Apr 8 13:54:55 GMT 1999 root@vs3.inetu.net:/usr/src/sys/compile/VS3 i386 Unfortunately there are no tools available to me on the virtual host to debug what is going wrong (I'm sure a simple strace would work it out...) Does the error message give anybody a hint of what is going wrong? thanks in advance. PS. Please reply to me directly as I'm not a member of this list. -- Greg Wilkins<gregw@mortbay.com> GB Phone: +44-(0)171-4394045 Mort Bay Consulting Australia and UK.
