Nope. Just install it and make sure that you have kernel support for it. After
that, you should be ready to enable it. You'll find that softupdates makes the
filesystem a little more forgiving in the event you should have one of those
unclean shutdowns. My only question concerning this would be the enabling of my /
partitition... since the slice should be unmounted when you enable it. Can this be
done from a live CD?
