We are trying to install ImageMagick on a new FreeBSD-4.2 STABLE machine
and can't get it to compile.

All of the depends are there, and we have no problems, but on "make" we
get this error:

 > checking for strip... strip
 > updating cache ./config.cache
 > ltconfig: unrecognized option `--build=i386--freebsd4.2'
 > Try `ltconfig --help' for more information.
 > configure: error: libtool configure failed
 > ===> Script "configure" failed: here are the contents of "config.log"
 > This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
 > running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
 >
 > configure:657: checking host system type

Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.
