Without attribution. Quoting without attribution is plagiarism.
The editors of Daemon News should not have allowed any such
thing to a occur, as it is fundamentally unethical. In the
scientific and technical community, such a breach of ethics
is generally sufficient to disqualify someone from publishing --
and certainly from being a spokesperson.
