I'm very, very, very sure :-)
my uname -a ends with "amd64".
Besides, if I wasn't I still should have more then 2G of "real memory".
The whole 2048M is just to good to be true (who has exactly 2^x bytes of
memory really?)

I own a DFI Lanparty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+

BIOS reports (around) 4GiB
Gentoo reports appr. 2.9GiB
*cough* Windows *cough* reports 4GiB
I'll get on the dmesg once I get home.
Greetz,
Mark
