There are not two building systems. XFree86 provide binaries and
READMEs telling how to rebuild the system from sources and
patches. The XFree 'port' is a translation of this in a makefile

Not all programs of the contrib tape are part of the XFree86
distribution, only a subset. I did not include them on the XFree port
because 1) I am lazy 2) most of them are useless (IMO)
