I can't mount my ATAPI CD-ROM with FreeBSD 2.1. I installed FreeBSD from the Walnut Creek CD-ROM by making a boot floppy with the ATAPIFLP.BAT file and the installation using the CD-ROM was flawless. The installation was performed using the "upgrade" option to update the previously installed 2.0.5 version. But now that the 2.1 OS is installed, I can't seem to mount the CD-ROM, even though it worked fine during the installation process. I've tried a number of ways to mount the CD-ROM, such as: mount /cdrom, or /stand/mount_cd9660 /dev/wcd0 /cdrom which results in the error message: /dev/wcd0: device not configured. Do I need to rebuild the kernel again after it was just built (I assume) during the installation process? My CD-ROM is a Mitsumi Quad-speed FX-400 ATAPI drive. Thanks for your assistance, Weston Ruch
