I have a problem, where rlogin works most of the time, but sometimes hangs... I think I saw this in the freebsd-isp mailing list a while ago, but that seemed to be under more stressful conditions... I'm currently using two P-100s running FreeBSD 2.1-Release, connected via ethernet. We will be getting an internet connection in a couple of weeks. Currently, I am the *only* person who uses these systems... I access one machine (Kirk) over a dial-up terminal, and connect to the other machine (Spock) with rlogin. Once in a while, rlogin just stops working. I'm sure I saw this discussed a while ago... If someone has a solution, let me know. If the problem hasn't been figured out, I may be able to help- A single-user network would be good for testing. I have nothing against using telnet, except for the security hole that was discovered last year. Telnetd would trust the environment variables sent when connecting, so it could be directed to use a hacked libc and give it root privileges... Has that hole been fixed for FreeBSD 2.1? when connecting
