Hmm...I'm not sure that's always the best advice.

I got a PB with a 1.2 mbyte IDE seagate and a 4 gig hawk (on an adaptec
1522).

Turns  out I get about 3.5 mbtye/sec to the ide, and 1.5 mbyte/sec to the
hawk.
