Hi all I need some help with dhclient on a fresh ftp install of 4.3-release

When I add ifconfig_ed0="DHCP" to rc.conf and boot my system right after
initial network setup Hostname. I get ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCDIFADDR) cant
assign requested address
Then the system hangs until I hit ctrl+c after I login ed0 is set to 0.0.0.0
and if I do ifconfig ed0 delete then run dhclient again I get the same thing
and again ed0 is set to 0.0.0.0.
Ed0 is functioning correctly because I did the ftp install off of it but
when I tried to setup dhcp on it with the install disks it couldn't find any
dhcp servers so I had to setup ed0 static with the last leased ip to my
system and that worked fine. Also I get the same results weather or not ed0
is hooked up the network or not so I dont think dhclient is even getting an
ip addy to try to assign to ed0.

The last install on this same system was 4.0 and it worked fine with the
hardware so the setup of the system should be ok as far as I know.

At this point I don't know what else to try any help would be great.

Thanks
Eric Avery
