the command tosha -t1 -d/dev/racd0c -k128 -f wav -o foo produces tosha: cam_lookup_pass: CAMGETPASSTHRU ioctl failed cam_lookup_pass: No such file or directory cam_lookup_pass: either the pass driver isn't in your kernel cam_lookup_pass: or acd0 doesn't exist i can play the cd using xmcd, but on /dev/acd0c with same major/minor as acd0. the device is there # ls -l /dev/acd0 crw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 117, 2 Sep 24 11:51 /dev/acd0 kernel does have pass driver # SCSI peripherals device scbus0 at sym0 # SCSI bus (required) #device da # Direct Access (disks) device da0 at scbus0 target 0 unit 0 device da1 at scbus0 target 1 unit 0 device sa # Sequential Access (tape etc) device cd # CD device pass # Passthrough device (direct SCSI access) clues please? randy To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
