I added "encrypt passwords = yes" to smb.conf [global] section to no avail... I am still receiving this error... what next??? I've explicitly declared a user account with access to a test share using "valid users = tstactu"... this also did not help... could this be because the binary fbsd samba pkg. for 3.0-RELEASE was not compiled with des / kerb encryption support??? I'd assume that it was, but I could be mistaken... please let me know... > -----Original Message----- > From: Eric Hodel [mailto:hodeleri@seattleu.edu] > Sent: Friday, December 11, 1998 12:22 AM > To: Graves, Scott > Cc: 'questions@freebsd.org' > Subject: Re: Cannot login to FreeBSD box running Samba > > > Check your encrypted password settings in smb.conf. > > "Graves, Scott" wrote: > > > > I am unable to login to my freebsd machine from windows nt. > I receive an > > error: "The account is not authorized to login to this > station."
