Upgraded from 4.3 to 4.7-RELEASE. After some problems I decided to do a fresh installation (CD), but the new XFree86-4 server wonīt configure. Using the graphic tool (it works, distorted but works), wonīt save the configuration file. The configure file, made by using the scripting tool (saves in diferent directory than graphic tool) wonīt bring up the server with messages about not finding the screen, and something about the hostīs name. The system has an ATI Rage 8MB board that never had any trouble configuring in previous FreeBsd and XFree86 versions .... Any hints ? ...
