You can use the 'w' and 'who' commands to see who's currently logged in.

I believe this is in the Handbook.  

1.  /dev/MAKEDEV vty8  (maybe 7, doesn't hurt to have extras)
2.  Modify /etc/ttys and make gettys for ttyv4 & ttyv5
3.  kill -1 1 to start the new gettys.

You may have to rebuild your kernel to get extra consoles, but I'm sure
the default is 16.
