Hello all;

I am trying to build a machine with fbsd 2.2.7-RELEASE with a
NCR 53c825 scsi card and a ST19171WD seagate baracuda drive. The card
notices the drive during boot time. When freebsd boots the following
errors come up:

ncr0 <ncr 53c825 fast10 wide scsi> rev 2 int a irq 9 on pci0:10:0
ncr0 waiting for scsi devices to settle
new ccb @f0dc8800.
(ncr0:0:0): "SEAGATE ST19171W HP06" type 0 fixed SCSI 2
sd1(ncr0:0:0): Direct-Access
sd1(ncr0:0:0): WIDE SCSI (16 bit) enabled
sd1(ncr0:0:0): 20.0 MB/s (100 ns, offset 8)

sd1(ncr0:0:0): NOT READY asc:4,0
sd1(ncr0:0:0): Logical unit not ready, cause not reportable field
replaceable unit: 2
, retries:4

The above 4 lines repeat several times until:

sd1: could not get size

finally it claims:

sd1 could not mode sense (4). Using fictitious geometry
0MB (0 512 byte sectors)

And that is where I am. Is there any way that I can fix this problem, or
is there something wrong with the drive?

Thanks alot in advance.
