Go to: http://www.freebsd.org And start reading or, Do a search for "Linux" and do the same. Or buy "The Complete FreeBSD" from Walnut Creek CDRom (cdrom.com) or "The Unix System Administration Handbook" There is more entry level info available than one person could read in a good chunk of a lifetime, i.e., the University of Indiana has some great tutorials.
