Hi, all.

Why does telnet always exit with exit status 1 when run
non-interactive?

For example:

telnet localhost always exits with exit status 1 when I log out,

whereas

telnet followed by
open localhost always exit with exit status 0 when I log out.

I have noticed this behaviour since I started with 2.2.8, and thought
it would be nice to know the reason for this strange behaviour.
