A quick look at a set of web logs on a public web server will quickly show you this. (Code Red, Nimda) So while I really don't care if a person defragments their disk, repairs broken software, uninstalls old software or even updates their drivers. I do care that they are not maintaining their machine to at least the point that they are not attacking one of my servers.
