Greetings,

Last week, I successfully upgraded 4 of our machines from 3.2-STABLE to
3.3-STABLE. One of them, however, has encountered a problem. I don't
know if it's related to the upgrade, or just coincidental. What happens
is that every night, when the /etc/security script runs, it generates a
segfault:

I was looking at the /etc/security script to figure out where it was
dying. I'm not sure what this command actually does, but I narrowed it
down to this particular part of the script:

MP=`mount -t ufs | grep -v " nosuid" | sed 's;/dev/;&r;' | awk '{ print $3 }'`
set $MP
while test $# -ge 1; do
        mount=$1
        shift
        find $mount -xdev -type f \
                \( -perm -u+x -or -perm -g+x -or -perm -o+x \) \
                \( -perm -u+s -or -perm -g+s \)  -print0
done

I isolated that part into a separate script, and of course, when I run it,
it segfaults. My coadmin said that locate was also segfaulting for him.
It didn't for me, but I don't get any results either.
/var/db/locate.database is dated 9/25, though, which means it hasn't
successfully updated in 3 days.
Also, if I try to run locate.updatedb manually, I get:

[140]root@calico:/var/db # /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb
Segmentation fault

Could it be that there are simply too many files on the system? I don't
know how many are there, but I'm pretty sure that another of our machines
has more, and it's not having any problems at all.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
