	I still don't understand why JFS has any interest over 
softupdates.  Indeed, the papers I've read seem to indicate that, at 
best, JFS may approach the kind of speed possible with softupdates, 
and they both allow you to re/boot quickly and with mount times that 
do not include lengthy fsck.

	Indeed, Sun paid megabucks to Kirk in order to get a commercial 
license for softupdates, and yet they already have a built-in JFS 
that has been freely available since Solaris 2.6.  Why would they pay 
money for something like this if it wasn't better than JFS?


	So, why should we care about JFS?
