Arghh!!! I missed to set this one (however, this is the only zfs pool on the 
machine -- shouldn't the loader assume it is safe to try to boot off?)

Yes, this file exists.

Yes, at least that's what I can conclude from BIOS messages (it's interesting 
to add debugging printf()s to gptzfsboot, as there is plenty space in it, but 
it would be next stage)
