Yep:

1. make buildworld
2. make buildkernel (add KERNCONF=mykernel to /etc/make.conf)
3. mergemaster -p
4. make installkernel
5. shutdown -r now and boot into single user
6. mount -a (if /usr/src and /usr/obj resides on their own partitions)
7. mergemaster
8. make installworld
9. reboot

I usually omit 5 and 6 because most of the time it works fine.
