Try one of these ports instead: multimedia/audacious multimedia/bmpx Both of which are xmms forks written to use gtk2. The latter is almost a complete rewrite of beep media player (bmp, which in turn was a fork of xmms), while the former is a more direct descendant of xmms, I think. I'm using audaciuos myself, but are looking into bmpx as it is evolving. Svein
