Sorry, but your objection is overruled.  You are the only person who
mentioned that you still use the port.  Why don't you just save a copy
of the port and keep it for yourself?

This port has been a headache for years (literally), as the author
refuses to put a version number in the filename and keeps changing the
distfile, while not allowing us to redistribute it.

 * What is the point of removing standard and well working port only because
 * you dislike personally what it does? If you don't like it sending mails,
 * don't use it, that's fine. But why make it harder for those who want to
 * use it?

It's the rzsz author that has made it hard for many of us.  We have
accomodated him far too long.  Please complain to him, not us.
