Subject: repeatable panic on fairly recent -current

I'm experiencing panics during the mount of root on a fairly recent
-current (of last weekend or so). An older kernel works fine (see #2 below).
The interesting thing is that it appears to be related to the IBM drive
that is now the root disk. I've tried some obvious things like increasing
the SCSI settle delay but no luck. Using an older Barracuda disk the
same kernel appears to work..

I'm a bit stumped and appreciate suggestions,

Wilko
