I have modified the all-purpose "tv" program to dump raw data to a file, (and to read it back as well, so that I have a simple VCR on my HD). Apart from a couple of problems (don't know the exact frame rate, and the HD is a bit too fast when playing back...) it pretty much works as expected. Now I'd like to do some compression of the images to produce a more portable video format, such as AVI or MPEG. Is there any sw compressor that I can use ?
