Yes and no. Been testing it some further and do *sometimes* find and error in 
the syslog (/var/log/message). In no particular order they are:

/kernel: acd0: READ_CD - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x21 ascq=0x00 error=0x04

/kernel: pid 298 (cdda2wav), uid 1001: exited on signal 6
(core dumped)

/kernel: acd0: READ_CD command timeout - resetting
/kernel: ata1: resetting devices .. acd0: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 
cable or device

Tried the speed thing, still hangs occasionally. And tried on another 
CD-drive. Still hangs.

Could I have some issue with my ATA-controller?
