Hi, after upgrading my machine to FreeBSD 4.0R, I experience some mysteries while trying to establish a connection. Using the i4b version that comes with 4.0R (isn't that 0.90?) the connection comes up, I get my (dynamically assigned) ip address and the connection automatically closes again. All within about three seconds and the loop starts over. That leaves me with about 20 charging unites per minute without having a useable connection. Here is some part of the isdnd output: ------- snip ------- root.trillian ~ # isdnd -d0xf9 -F isdnd[291]: DBG removing old lock-file /var/run/isdnd.pid isdnd[291]: DMN i4b isdn daemon started (pid = 291) isdnd[291]: DBG msg_dialout: dial req from isp, unit 0 isdnd[291]: DBG setup_dialout: entry TRILLIAN ok! isdnd[291]: DBG find_by_device_for_dialout: found entry 0! isdnd[291]: DBG FSM event [msg-dialout]: [idle => dialing] isdnd[291]: DBG F_DIAL: local dial out request isdnd[291]: DBG select_first_dialno: only one no, no = 5204 isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN rate 240 sec/unit (rate) isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN dialing out from 7318677 to 5204 isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN outgoing call proceeding (ctl 0, ch 0) isdnd[291]: DBG msg_charging: 1 unit(s) (estimated) isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN outgoing call active (ctl 0, ch 0, isp0) isdnd[291]: DMN date/time from exchange = 0005142246 isdnd[291]: DBG FSM event [msg-con-act-ind]: [dialing => connected] isdnd[291]: DBG F_DOK: dial out ok isdnd[291]: DBG select_this_dialno: index = 0, no = 5204 isdnd[291]: DBG isp0: switched to state 3 isdnd[291]: DBG msg_charging: 1 unit(s) (AOCE) isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN outgoing call disconnected (remote) isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN cause 16: Normal call clearing (Q.850) isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN charging: 1 units, 3 seconds isdnd[291]: CHD 00017 TRILLIAN accounting: in 288, out 400 isdnd[291]: DBG FSM event [msg-disc-ind]: [connected => idle] isdnd[291]: DBG F_IDIS: disconnect indication isdnd[291]: DBG msg_dialout: dial req from isp, unit 0 isdnd[291]: DBG setup_dialout: entry TRILLIAN ok! isdnd[291]: DBG find_by_device_for_dialout: found entry 0! isdnd[291]: DBG FSM event [msg-dialout]: [idle => dialing] isdnd[291]: DBG F_DIAL: local dial out request isdnd[291]: DBG select_first_dialno: only one no, no = 5204 isdnd[291]: CHD 00018 TRILLIAN rate 240 sec/unit (rate) isdnd[291]: CHD 00018 TRILLIAN dialing out from 7318677 to 5204 isdnd[291]: CHD 00018 TRILLIAN outgoing call proceeding (ctl 0, ch 0) isdnd[291]: DBG msg_charging: 1 unit(s) (estimated) isdnd[291]: CHD 00018 TRILLIAN outgoing call active (ctl 0, ch 0, isp0) isdnd[291]: DMN date/time from exchange = 0005142246 isdnd[291]: DBG FSM event [msg-con-act-ind]: [dialing => connected] isdnd[291]: DBG F_DOK: dial out ok ------- snip ------- The question now is what might cause the disconnection.
