# mount
/dev/da0s1a on / (ufs, local)
/dev/da0s1e on /var (ufs, local)
procfs on /proc (procfs, local)

I just duplicated it like so:
# mail -v root
Subject: test
test
.
EOT
can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied
Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser.
# date
Mon Jun  3 09:58:52 PDT 2002
(from /var/log/messages:)
Jun  3 09:58:37  sendmail[23012]: NOQUEUE: (etc)
