During X server testing I had to push the reset button two times
recently with a subsequent fsck. Then I wanted to build some
new kernel but moving the old kernel did not work; the kernel
had mode 555 (!) I didn't definitely not set it to that mode.
Logged in under root at vty0 I tried to chmod 755 /kernel
(I was booted from /kernel.old at that time) gave
chmod: /kernel: Operation not permitted
(other chmod operations worked though)

Trying rm /kernel (booted from kernel.new) gives

override r-xr-xr-x root/wheel schg for /kernel? y
rm: /kernel: Operation not permitted

I believe I installed these kernels using make install rather than
mv /kernel /tmp ; mv kernel /kernel.
