On a side note, I can, on my AMD-K5/75, play CD-quality (44 100 Hz, 16-bit)
audio and consume only ~7% of my systems resources, whereas Windows(tm) eats the
machine alive. I can play a MP3 at 60%, and timidity from ~10% to ~30% (kind of
a techno/dance/industrial .mid). And I can still use the machine, which is more
than I got out of Windows(tm). Windows(tm) wants a 90 MHz machine to do what
timidity does and still multitask. Obviously, one can see and understand my
choice.
