How do you mean?  There is only one source for Motif source code
and the stuff X-Inside sells is from that one source, just like
the Motif and CDE everyone else on the planet uses.  If there are
violations of a standard, they are the same violations every
other vendor has....

Surprise!  What did you expect?  Motif has never been free.

There is an effort underway to implement a freely distributable
version of the Motif API (lesstif), but I gather it has a way to
go before it could serve as a plug-in replacement for the "real"
Motif.
