Yup, that's good enough.  You don't describe any problem here.

The standard book on FreeBSD is "The Complete FreeBSD", second edition
(http://www.cdrom.com/titles/os/bsdbook2.htm).  Others that I like are
"UNIX for the impatient", by Paul Abrahams and Bruce Larson (Addison
Wesley) and "UNIX Power Tools" by Peek, O'Reilly and Loukides
(O'Reilly).
