OMG! I haven't done this in ages, but it worked. I installed FBSD onto ThinkPad
560 via plip(parallel port) from other FBSD box with cdrom drive. TP560 had no
cdrom drive.

Anyhow, here's my experience with it. I couldn't get it work via floppy boot.
So, I installed bin only via floppy. Easy enough. Then, I configured it to see
plip. I don't remember how I did it, but there is info at handbook. So, anyway,
I installed the whole shebang onto TP560. It worked VERY well for a long time
before I got a new laptop, TP600, with cdrom. =)

Good luck.
