Correct, but not with DISPLAY set to :0.0
localhost:0.0 or hostname:0.0 works.

I'm running a fresh 2.2 Stable:
FreeBSD trumpet.partitur.se 2.2.7-STABLE FreeBSD 2.2.7-STABLE #0: Mon
