Ilya,

I've run XFree86 4.0.1 on my i810 machine without any problems.  Here's the
section from my XF86Config file:

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "Intel i810"
    Driver      "i810"
    Option      "SWCursor"
    Option      "NoAccel"
EndSection
