(apologies for the duplicate send to some addresses. This is
pre-coffee and I'm still fscking the booze off my skull
platters.)

Without soft updates, make -j 3 world fails at the same point
and make world succeeds on a 3.2-RELEASE box trying to upgrade
to -CURRENT.

So there's definitely a dependency issue which a serial build
addresses.

If Fritz is doing a serial build (are you?) and that's
manifesting itself as a race condition with soft updates, that's
a Very Bad Thing.

I suppose that is possible. But for the record, I did a
buildworld 3 days
ago, on a soft-updates enabled partition and it worked fine.
