With the exception of E2FS, we don't even support them. And we have never supported booting from E2FS either. Whatever loads the kernel, it must know enough of the fs to be able to read the kernel. Otherwise, we would end up with something like older versions of DOS, which required the boot files to be the first files in the fs, as well as having a contiguous allocation. -- Daniel C.
