The T42 is quite old.  I imagine the technology's moved on a little bit 
(lighter, faster, etc).  And separate wireless cards mean more tech to carry 
around, get lost, etc.

"good choice of model" is the key.  What T or X series ThinkPad would you 
recommend that works well with FreeBSD?
