Well, I have a very simple question: How is it possible to boot a two disk system (a boot disk and a root disk) and see if anything works... I have the Infomagic November release of freebsd 2.0, made slices, didn't want to touch my master boot record, and booting I get a panic -- can't mount root... I want to boot a simple system on floppies and then exanime the hard disk (Linux has this approach and I really like it). I'm looking to work on dosemu on freebsd and bringing layered file systems to linux... marty
